Educating the world

so we watched a movie in anthropology about how westernized education is really sending the world's poorer countries into deeper poverty and we had to write a found poem on quotes we got from the movie and here's mine... =] I thought it was cool

Gone away to the city
To destroy our way of life
To learn how to use corporate products
It’s not like it was before

To pull us away from our own knowledge and self respect

To let all that is Indian within us die
And the traditional ways of compassion die out
